We are a friendly group of enthusiastic amateurs who enjoy making violins, violas, 'cellos and double basses. The group meets weekly on Monday evenings 6.30pm – 9.30pm during school term time at Rossett School, Green Lane, Harrogate, and is led by a professional stringed instrument-maker. In addition, there is a wide range of expertise and experience amongst members of the group, and knowledge is freely shared so that everyone benefits.

Anyone with an interest in making an orchestral stringed instrument is welcome to join. Practical experience in general woodwork would be an advantage although not absolutely necessary.

The next term starts on 16th April 2012 but visitors are invited to come to see what we do, and newcomers can join us, throughout the term.
